Black as a Cat by waterproofvelvet Black as a Cat by waterproofvelvet
Disaster, the cat is not looking in the right direction :dead:

Why? First because a lady was entered the frame and she was walking real slowly - it was taking her ages to go down the path. Second because a pair of silly young people stopped right behind me when they noticed me crouching in front of the cat and they started to shoot it as well. Since there were too many troublemakers around, I left.

Shame, it was a real black cat >:)

How fantastic to see a black cat in a cemetery. I'm so happy you were able to get the picture! The question is...who REALLY is the black cat? Happy Halloween!

even so, with all the distractions, this picture is still very beautiful. it is fun to think of how you discovered such an interesting shot. and eventhough he's not looking at you the mood his body motion in this picture is quite unique and thought provoking. i think it turned out quite beautifully and insperationally. i wish such spots existed where i live

A black cat in an old cemetery... This actually makes me very nostalgic. You see, I live next to an old cemetery that dates back to the mid-Victorian era. When I was young, I would often walk though the cemetery and my black cat would always follow me. This picture makes me think of him.

In my opinion, the cat looking away gives this pic the correct texture, it marks it different and astonishing. The black cat gave you a unique shot :)

Actually what bothers is is that the background behind its head is also dark; consequently the two merge a bit too much. Had the head been lower the contrast would have been better!

Nice shot I really like it, but if only the cat was bolder..
There's low contrast between the black cat and it's backround that is dark as well.

Yes, I'm not entirely satisfied with this either. It was a lazy cat; it was sleeping when I arrived!

I had the same trouble today when taking pictures, too much people around.. (and I'm shooting analog, so the photo is useless) I hate it! >:)

Anyway a beautiful pic! Full of atmosphere. superb!

It's not that bad. The shot is still pretty damn good. *pat pat*

Maybe it even worked out better than it would have when the cat had been facing you.

Lovely frame and all that.
